Information in an enquiry

Our form asks for your full name, phone number, postcode or location, type of work, description of the work, preferred contact method and confirmation that you agree to us using these details to respond. An email address is optional unless you choose email as your preferred contact method.

Please provide only what we need to understand and reply to your enquiry. Do not include payment details, identity documents, access codes or sensitive personal information in the description.

The form does not currently accept photo uploads. If photographs would help after your initial enquiry, we can discuss how to share them. Only take photos from a safe position, and avoid including other people or personal information unnecessarily.

How we use your information

How the form is sent

The form submits to a secure server-side endpoint over HTTPS. The server validates the details and sends an enquiry notification to Stackssandcrackss@gmail.com through Resend, an email delivery provider. Private email service credentials stay on the server.

The website shows a success message only after the backend confirms that the email provider accepted the enquiry. Acceptance for sending does not guarantee delivery to the inbox: filtering, provider delays or an invalid address can affect email delivery. An enquiry does not confirm a visit, appointment or agreed work.

The website hosting provider and email providers process information needed to run their services, which may include processing outside the UK. Their own privacy information also applies: Resend privacy policy and Google privacy policy.

Website security and connection information

Our hosting provider processes technical connection information, including IP addresses and request data, to serve and protect the site. The enquiry endpoint uses temporary anti-spam challenges, a hidden spam field and rate limits. Temporary digests derived from connection information help limit abuse without adding your IP address to the enquiry email.

The form does not save your enquiry details in browser local storage. If submission fails, your details stay in the visible form so that you can correct them or try again. Closing or refreshing the page may clear them. Please avoid using a shared device for information you do not want others to see.

Cookies, fonts and analytics

This website does not add analytics or advertising cookies, run a mailing list or use advertising trackers. Essential infrastructure used by the hosting provider may be needed to deliver and secure the website.

The website fonts are served from our own website. Your browser does not need to contact Google Fonts to load them. Fallback fonts are available while the local font files load.

Links to WhatsApp, email and other external services take you to those providers. Their privacy terms apply when you choose to use them.

Keeping and protecting information

We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, manage any resulting work and meet applicable legal obligations. Relevant business records may need to be kept after the initial enquiry. We aim to limit access to people and service providers who need it for those purposes.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us by phone if you are unsure whether information should be sent through the form.

Your choices and rights

You can ask about the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion. Other rights, including restricting or objecting to some uses, may apply depending on the circumstances. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations or agreed work.
